People In Neighborhoods Can Help (P.I.N.C.H.)
Thank you for Visiting People In Neighborhoods                       Can Help (P.I.N.C.H.)
PINCH: People In Neighborhoods Can Help, is a non-profit, 100% volunteer-administered, community-based organization, supported by many individuals throughout Greater Boston, as well as local business sponsorship. Each time one individual lends a hand, in a pinch, we collectively are able to help those in need.

The concept for the PINCH Foundation came in the aftermath of the horrific, random attack on our founder, Frank Sullivan's life in 1979. Frank, who was shot three times, twice in the head and once in the arm, initially survived due to the expert emergency medical care and recuperative medical aid he received at Boston's New England Medical Center.

After doctors operated on Frank, for nearly eight hours, they told his family that one of the bullets would have to remain in his head. Frank was rendered permanently, legally blind in both eyes and partially deaf in his right ear.

Frank Sullivan would not have been able to rebuild his life, had it not been for the help, support and love he received from his family, friends and neighbors.

After going from a wheelchair to a walker to a cane, Mr. Sullivan was discharged from the hospital, resting on hope. In Frank's words: "I lost most of my vision, but increased my ability to see the world in a whole new light. My hearing was damaged, but I improved my ability to listen to those in need. My equilibrium was impacted, but I resolved to stand firm in the interest of justice for those who otherwise may not benefit by the kindness of strangers".

Today, with the assistance of his wife, Lisa, and their daughters Brianna and Shannon, and a core group of volunteers, Frank has channeled a near-death experience into mobilizing his community to give a helping hand to neighbors in need, throughout Boston. We greatly appreciate you visiting our site, and hope you will consider donating to help others in a PINCH? Please contact us for additional information. Together, we can help!
